Veterinary Physiotherapists work under Veterinarian approval to offer a patient-centred functional assessment. I will work with my client and fellow professionals to diminish pain, enhance movement, minimise risk of injury, and re-establish regular muscle control and function through a variety of treatment techniques (NAVP, 2016).

On graduation I will become a member of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP), a professional body promoting the practice of Veterinary Physiotherapy. NAVP aims to make certain the highest standards of physiotherapy care will be delivered to animals.

My Personal Development Plan (PDP) involves structured planning for my personal and professional development through reflecting forward using my learning experiences, performance and achievements (Cottrell, 2015). It is about where I am now and where I want to be in the future (Rughani, 2001). My PDP will include a SWOT analysis which will take stock of my current situation (Kumar, 2009). Identifying my Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats will analyse my level of readiness for new tasks (Cottrell, 2015).

Below is an outline of my PDP. For a more detailed view, please click on the link at the bottom of this page.
