I grew up in the countryside of Co. Kildare, Ireland. From here grew my love for the outdoors and animals as we were surrounded by the beautiful Irish countryside.

Throughout my school years I spent a lot of my time horse-riding and taking part in various pony clubs. In 2007, I completed work experience at Troytown Equine hospital in Co. Kildare and, later, Dixons Veterinary Practice, Co. Mayo. My love of animals grew even more. In 2009, although offered an Equine Science course in Northern Ireland, I began an undergraduate course of general nursing (for humans!) with NUIGalway. I believed I should follow in my family's footsteps. During my time nursing I became passionate about the medical field, rehabilitation, teamwork and leadership. My time working in the various hospitals was invaluable.

Ever since I was younger my dream job has been to work with animals, yet, I wasn't confident enough in myself to chase it. So, being older (and wiser), I decided I would finally go for it. In 2016 I was very happy to be accepted onto the NAVP approved MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy course at Writtle University College where I am now studying. I have a lot of work to do and a great amount of practical experience to gain, however, I definitely have the enthusiasm needed to achieve my goals.

This page will keep you up to date on my journey as a student. On top of all of this, I love spending my free time working out, travelling, being with my animals and cooking.

I hope I will be able to work with you and your furry companion in the future. Please feel free to contact me or leave me some feedback under my 'Contact' section.
